Every house has them. A bathroom transom looking onto a wall. A kitchen window facing the neighbor’s siding. A stairwell window high above eye level, doing nothing for the room. Frosted film hides the view but adds nothing. Curtains close out the light. Stained glass is out of budget for most homes and out of style for most rooms.
We specialise in creating one-of-one maps and significant designs, plotted with exceptional precision and installed directly onto your window. Each commission is conceived, designed, and realised for that single pane of glass in your residence. What began as a quiet endeavour in Los Angeles has grown into a studio entrusted by discerning clients worldwide. Every map we create is made once, installed once, and remains with that home in perpetuity. We do not produce in quantity. We do not offer editions. We create private commissions — quietly and beautifully.
In-house, end to end.
Every WindowMaps commission is designed, plotted, and quality-checked under one roof. We don’t outsource the artwork. We don’t subcontract the plotting. The only part of the process that happens beyond our facility is the installation — and even that’s performed by specialists we’ve personally certified and trained on our films.
Our in-house art team works in vector from day one. Whether we’re building cartography from satellite and survey data, refining one of our starting cities to your specific neighborhood, or adapting a vector file you’ve supplied (an EPS, an SVG, an AI), the output is the same: a plot-ready master, accurate to every line. Our laser plotters then cut every commission on premium adhesive film. Translucent grades for light-passing windows. Opaque grades for privacy. Specialty films for very large or detailed work. Each plot is produced once.

Our application network is sourced from professional sticker, vehicle wrap, and architectural film specialists in major European, American, and Asian metropolitan areas. Where we don’t have a partner already in place, we source and certify a local specialist for your project. Every installer in our network has been vetted, trained on our films, and is bound by our three-year application warranty against bubbling, lifting, peeling, or edge failure.

If you request your commission as a true one-of-one, we’ll honor that and never reproduce the artwork for anyone else. We do reserve the right to display finished installations on our website and in marketing materials — with no identifying details if you’d prefer. That’s the only exception, and we’ll always ask.
